|New CT Scanner is Installed|
The Imaging Department is pleased to announce the recent installation of the Siemens SOMATOM Perspective 64-slice CT scanner. The new equipment offers highly detailed images, faster scanning speeds, up to 60% dose reduction and innovative technology that automates the dosage accoring to patients' weight, size and anatomy. The new scanner benefits patients with a dramatic increase in speed, reduced breath holds, and beautiful state of the art imaging. The equipment works quickly, meaning less time is required on the table, and the scanner alludes to a more spacious atmosphere for patients during the exam. Auxiliary's Tree of Life
The Penobscot Valley Hospital Auxiliary is gearing up for their annual “Tree of Life” fund raising event. You can help the tree shine by making a donation. Each colored light on the tree represents a donation in memory of a loved one. Applications to become a donor can be completed at the registration desks at PVH or you may download the application here.
You are cordially invited to attend the "Tree of Life" lighting ceremony, which will be held Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 6PM. Join the Auxiliary in singing Christmas carols as they light the tree and enjoy refreshments following the tree lighting in the cafeteria.
